FAQ

Honest answers

When someone clicks your link, their browser remembers you for 90 days. If they sign up as a host in that time — or already have an account with no partner and log in through your link — they're credited to you, permanently. If they click another partner's link before signing up, the most recent click counts. Once a provider is yours, they stay yours.
If you don't submit content within 90 days, your status moves to Inactive right at day 90. We remind you at day 60 and day 83 first, and a submission that's already awaiting review keeps you Active until it's decided. Commissions earned during an inactive period are permanently forfeited, but commissions earned while you were Active are fully protected, and reactivating (one new approved submission) resumes earning from that day.
A commission is recorded as soon as the booking is confirmed and the platform fee is collected. It becomes yours once the guest's stay is complete and a 15-day settlement window has passed (it covers refund requests). From there you can withdraw it whenever you like from your dashboard's Payouts tab, confirmed by a one-time email code. No monthly cycle, no minimum amount.
The rate is tied to how long the PROVIDER you referred has been on the platform, not how long you've been a partner. Every provider you bring in starts you at 20% of what we earn, even if you refer them years after you signed up: their clock starts the day they go active. As that provider matures, the rate steps down just for them: 20% for their years 1–3, 12% for years 4–6, then 5% from year 7 onward. Attribution is lifetime, so you keep earning something on every completed booking, and a company can always set an individual rate for a partner.
Premium hosts pay GoToRetreats a monthly plan instead of a fee on each booking, so there's no booking fee to share on their bookings. Instead you earn a share of every plan payment they make, for as long as they stay subscribed — it shows under Subscriptions in your dashboard. If they cancel you're told, and commissions on payments they already made are unaffected.
Yes, there's no cap. Every provider you refer becomes its own permanent commission stream. The more active providers you bring in, the more your monthly income compounds over time.
Short offers on single retreats that every partner can promote, even if they didn't refer that venue. You grab a campaign link from the Quick Referrals tab and share it; whoever's link was clicked last before a booking earns that campaign's rate on it.
There's a 30-day window after a provider signs up to claim the referral manually. Reach out to the team (the support chat is the fastest way) with the details, like a message, email, or other evidence, and once verified, the team records the attribution. Like every attribution, it's then permanent.
Yes. If you run a venue yourself you can bring it on through your own link. These referrals are allowed, and the team is notified so they can take a look.
Inquiries, profile views, and signups without a booking don't qualify. Cancelled or fully refunded bookings are excluded, and a partial refund reduces the commission to match. Bookings made while you are in Inactive status are permanently lost; there's no escrow or backdating when you reactivate.
Payouts go through Stripe. Connect a bank account once from the Payouts tab, then withdraw your whole earned balance whenever you like, confirmed by a one-time email code. Stripe payouts are available in the US, UK, Europe, Canada, Australia, Singapore and most other countries — not currently in India.
Commissions are income, and you're responsible for declaring and paying any tax on them where you live. We don't withhold tax. Stripe may ask for tax details when you set up payouts.
Yes, once approved you can set a custom link code (e.g. /r/sarah123) from your dashboard. The system checks availability before confirming. Your old code keeps working for 90 days after a change, and every provider already credited to you stays yours.
Any live, public post that features GoToRetreats: a reel or short, a YouTube video, a podcast mention, a newsletter feature, a blog or LinkedIn post. Screenshots, private posts and deleted content don't count. Submit the link from the Content tab; it's checked automatically, then reviewed by a person.
